Travels with Charley: In Search of America is mainly what they call a travelogue o travel literature. It’s not the first time that I read one and I’m starting to enjoy the genre. I added this one to my want to read in Goodreads a long time ago after reading some hilarious paragraphs during a couple of English lessons, and the rest of the book had not disappointed me at all.

Espero que disfruten tanto como yo del siguiente fragmento de A Feast for Crows de George R.R. Martin. No contiene spoilers, pero sí da una buena idea del ambiente que se respira en la novela, el tono de este tomo me ha parecido especialmente pesimista y desolador (que ya es decir para Canción de Hielo y Fuego).

Apenas dispongo de tiempo para preparar (en condiciones) reseñas, pero no quiero dejar la costumbre de poner pequeños pasajes con la esperanza de conseguir atrapar nuevos lectores.

El hecho de querer valorar justamente en Goodreads los grandes clásicos que leí de pequeño me está obligando a releer deliciosas obras maestras.

As I recently only read and watch both TV series and films in English (usually without subs) seems to me the perfect way to express ideas and concepts from the books, as well as a way to improve my skills. Acabo de terminar la lectura de Fermat's Last Theorem (El último teorema de Fermat en su edición española) del autor británico Simon L. Singh. A pesar de haber tardado bastante en acabarlo (diversos líos me han tenido alejado de cualquier libro) me ha parecido una lectura muy amena y totalmente recomendable. Antes de seguir, debo indicar que este libro lo conseguí en la pasada TAM London 2010 firmado por el propio autor.

Firefly, creada por Josh Whedon, es una de las series de televisión que suelo recomendar a todo el mundo. Es ciencia ficción, no precisamente normal, pero tiene suficientes dosis de humor, acción y aventura para que pueda gustarle a cualquiera. No suele defraudar, te puede encantar o simplemente gustarte, pero la gente siempre suele agradecer la recomendación. Debería dedicar otra entrada exclusivamente a la serie.
